Rehearsals

The band has been hard at it despite several of the members having contracted whatever the latest sinus/chest cold/sore throat/ear infection is that has been making the rounds.  After putting the show at the Hi-Fi Indy in the books SHED has its sights set on their next show and is adding material to an already intense set.

The whole band is using personal monitors during rehearsals either in the form of IEM's (In Ear Monitors) or headphones in order to have the most accurate mix and representation of their sound. Bobby's guitars go through his pedal board and then directly into the Zoom LiveTrak L-12 digital mixer.  Davey's bass runs through his bass pedal board and into the mixer as well.  Clint's vocals go direct to the mixer as do Kelley's drums.

Kelley, Bobby, and to a lessor extent Davey, are all gear heads.  Kelley handles all of the mixing duties as well as the recording responsibilities.  Each member of SHED has their own individual personal mix with the levels they need to perform at their best.  Suffice to say that because of Kelley's attention to detail SHED has professional quality mixes in their personal monitors during rehearsals and this helps the band deliver the best sound possible at live shows.

Look for SHED to play their next show with new material.  For information on upcoming shows head over the the SHED Society Shows page.

Shed Live at The Hi-Fi Indy

On Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 SHED had the distinct privilege to take part in a performance at the Hi-Fi- Indy with two other bands.  Out of the Tempest opened the show, SHED filled the middle slot, and headliners, Replaced by Robots, finished out the night.

Out of the Tempest during sound check
Out of the Tempest opened up with an energetic set that showcased their talent through multiple styles over the course of their set.  Despite being the night before Thanksgiving the turnout was good and the audience appreciated Out of the Tempest's performance.

SHED filled the middle slot of the evening's performance with a set consisting of old and new material.  Due to work hours SHED did not get to the venue in time to do a proper sound check but, thanks to the venue's capable sound man, a line check turned out to be sufficient to get started and over the course of the first couple of songs the band's sound was dialed in.

Replaced by Robots finished out the evening with an impressive set showcasing their technical skills.  It was hard to believe that a three piece outfit was able to deliver as much music as they did.  It was such an amazing performance that we actually forgot to take pictures.

SHED would like to thank:

  • The Hi-Fi Indy
  • Sun King Brewery
  • Out of the Tempest
  • Replaced by Robots

And MOST especially OUR FANS and the amazing people who came out on short notice the night before Thanksgiving to help us rock the Hi-Fi.
